Reimagine the World Narratives
The Reimagine the World campaign began during a brainstorming session with myself, my boss, and the leader of the Wyss’ Communications Team. We were discussing creative content strategies, and I said, “What if we ask people how they’d like to imagine the world and why, and present their stories that way.”
Soon, #ReimagineTheWorld was born. During the first year, our team produced nearly twenty unique stories from researchers, clinicians, industry partners, and patients and their families.
Each member of the team was challenged to make this campaign their own, and find a unique way to contribute. In addition to the collage at the top of the Reimagine landing page, I created a concept for a new kind of story. It would start with a quote from the subject, describing a defining moment that led them to Reimagine the World. Then, I’d weave a narrative story about their origins, motivations, and current work. The team loved the idea, and we decided to add an audio element to the stories too.
The campaign won three Communicator Awards in 2024.
These stories have proven useful to our Strategic Engagement team in their efforts to fundraise and forge partnerships. They have also performed well on social media, with high engagement. One story was also shared by Harvard on their main social media channels.
